About Belgian Endive (Witlof)

Belgian Endive is the heart of our family farm being a goal we worked toward for many years. In 2000 we built a modern Belgian Endive grow facility, with individual independent grow rooms, four freezers for storing roots and a large work area to harvest, grade and pack.

In Europe Belgian Endive (witlof) has always been known as the 'winter vegetable', as common as our potato. Over the years people have been delighted to discover the many uses of it's creamy delicate leaves, any time of the year. It is a delicious simple addition to any salad or a salad on it's own, it is perfect on any fresh vegetable tray and is truly nature's perfect scoop. Belgian Endive is great cooked in many forms from baked dishes, soups, and steaming or boiling.

Belgian Endive is catching on as a healthy alternative that adds a great taste to any meal or gathering. It's simply delicious! 100% Ontario grown and packaged.
