History of Janssen Produce

Peter Janssen is from a very long line of farming, where his family farmed in the Netherlands. After coming to Canada as a student, Peter fell in love with the country and immigrated. In 1987, Peter established his own farm and is a proud Canadian citizen.

Together with his wife Leasa and children Erin and Martin, they transformed a former tobacco farm into a viable, modern specialty vegetable operation.

In 2000, the Janssens built a new high capacity Belgian Endive facility, realizing a long worked for dream.
